Eden Parker
An aspiring singer/songwriter currently based out of Fargo/Moorhead. Eden began playing the piano at age 6, wrote his first song at age 11, and picked up a guitar for the first time when he turned 18. Eden's music tells the story of his life - the good parts and the bad. The journey towards knowledge and truth and the realization of the imperfection of humanity, captured in haunting melodies, and conveyed through heart wrenching lyrics.

Fancy That
Kari Dallmann & Beth Garland
Keith and Renée
Hailing from Winnipeg, Keith & Renée are a dynamic duo who have been touring and recording fiercely over the past 10 years.

In 2008, 2009, KnR were asked to join Craig Kielburger's Free The Children foundation performing in 150 schools across Canada, speaking to youths about positive change and spreading their message through their music reaching over 100,000 young people. Through this, KnR traveled and performed the last 2 summers in Kenya, Africa, and Dubai.
Four albums behind them and thousands of miles on their worldwide tours, we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to hear this duo as their tour brings them to Fargo.

Mike Holtz, Kyle Christensen
Travis Atwood and Trevor Pearson
CTC started in '05 as an acoustic duo playing small weekday shows just for the hell of it. We added a bass player shortly after that to add more rhythm and depth to the acoustic sound, not to mention the added harmony. Next thing you know, we're booking clubs and starting to do a little traveling. With the final addition of a drummer, and some electric guitar, we decided to go full time playing anywhere people are willing to listen. We have a sets worth of original material for opening acts or multiple band nights, and a wide variety of unique covers for clubs and whatever we may get ourselves into.

Michael Pink & His Band

If you are lucky enough to run into Michael when he isn't in a Minneapolis Studio, opening for a touring band, working out the details for movie sound tracks, holed up somehwere writing songs or working his night job - you might get to hear why he has become a Fargo favorite, featured in The High Plains Reader more than any other musican in the last two years.

Michael Pink takes the stage with the band as the headline act for this event. You won't be hearing this guy for free much more!
John Crowston
Crowston recalls, "I remember my dad and his friend Joe playing house parties in the 50's.   You know Hank Williams, Everly Brothers, Hank Snow, etc.. At some point they would ask me to sing.  Music was always being played in our house - usually the radio.  The great thing about radio stations of that era was that you could hear country, blues, or pop music all back to back.  I remember having this physical reaction to certain songs.  It was kind of like the chills when I heard something that was special to me.  It still happens."

Crowston brings a rich collection of Americana and blues from his personal catalogue.

Less than Organic
Less than Organic has been writing and performing music in North Dakota since 2006. Between 2006 and 2008 the members went through many different band set-ups until moving to Minot where they officially became a duo. They consist of Caley Pieper on guitar, vocals, and trumpet, and Caitlin Benson on cello, vocals, and guitar. They create a diverse sound, blending acoustic folk rock with a hint of classical music and a jazz/funk influence. Less than Organic is currently living in Fargo, ND upon the completion of Caley Pieper's degree in trumpet performance. Their album "More than Mechanic" is expected to be released in September of this year.

Michael Whisler

Michael Whisler is one of the finest 12 string guitarists you will hear play. Check him out on YouTube and you will hear why people are saying he could sit next to Leo Kottke on any stage, any time, and not have to worry about being second class.

Whistler has opened for some of the finest musicians The Listening Room has had the pleasure of hosting and everyone of them stand in the back of the room listening with a grin on their face and shake their heads, "I don't believe this guy."

All you 12-string guitar enthusiasts will love it when he grabs "the big-boy" a specially built 12 string guitar with a really loooong neck.

Michael plays at The Listening Room this fall. Check him out on the schedule.
Little Winter
An alternative country/folk band currently based in Fargo, North Dakota with members Kris Adamson, Ben Adamson, Ryan Weisse and Calli Adamson

Formed in 2007 Little Winter spent their first few years patiently shaping their sound, experimenting with blends of country, rock, folk, and pop, collecting songs along the way. In 2009, the band started taking those songs to the public.

They are currently recording After the Morning Fire, a self-produced EP to be released in the Spring of 2011.
Anthony Chaput
Combining elements of folk, rock, and soul, Anthony Chaput has been writing and performing music for most of his adult life. Born and raised in Walhalla, North Dakota, he spent the last four years living in Los Angeles.  He recently returned to Fargo and has been busy performing his music for audiences throughout the Red River Valley.
Darrin Wentz
Darrin Wentz from Fargo, ND is a common face and voice at Fargo's bars and lounges as a popular singer songwriter. Not only is Wentz an accomplished musician, he is a mentor to young musicians as they find their way to open mics and other local playing opportunities. You will find Darrin at the Radisson most Wednesday nights where Mike Holtz MCs one of the best run open mic programs in Fargo. Wentz will warm up the audience with his thoughtful (often quite humorus) songs.
